Todays tech class was a nice introduction into the world of coding. we looked into different ways that we can introduce and integrate coding opportunities into our classrooms. There are many fun resources available for kids to explore coding in the form of games, story making, and much more!
Scratch and Designing with algorithms using TinkerCad: Websites where kids can create visuals and stories by simply adding together different functions and constantly playing them out to see how they work together. Some students have expressed a lack of interest in scratch which is important to note as teachers need to know what the students are engaged in and what may be less effective.

Hour of Code: A project based resource with tons of guidance for students and teachers. This is a great resource for teacher that what to integrate the learning of coding into their classroom as it provides teacher notes and teaching cues that guide teachers to present the lesson to their class.
Code BC: This source has great resources and opportunities for teachers who are interested in integrating coding into their classroom. Teachers do not need to be experts to use these resources. CUEBC is a great conference for teachers with similar interests and goals in coding to connect and learn.
